As part of Ganesh College of Engineering, the Department of Biomedical Engineering was established in the year 2020 and have well experienced teaching and non-teaching staffs. The department will be offering a 4-years undergraduate program (B.E) in Biomedical Engineering (BME). Our department faculties have wider knowledge about the curriculum and teaching methodology. They train the students to get good skill and knowledge. We encourage our students to attend seminar, workshop and conferences online courses Guest Lecturer for their core development. Faculty members are doing in-house research and publishing papers in peer reviewed National and international journals and conferences. Our faculty members have the following areas of expertise such as: Bio-signal and Medical image processing, Rehabilitation Engineering, Biomedical Instrumentation.
The department has well-equipped, state-of-the-art laboratories including the Bio-medical Instrumentation Laboratory, Microbiology and biochemistry Laboratory, Diagnostic and Therapeutic Laboratory to meet the requirements of Anna University to the fullest and to enable the students in-house. Industrial training and Project training are arranged for all students to develop their practical and working knowledge. Each student is encouraged to develop innovative products on their own as part of Innovative Projects and the best are presented in intercollegiate competitions. Our students have participated in national level innovation designing contest. We also offer Value added Laboratories using latest software and also offer special programmes on communication skills and soft skills so that they are technical experts as well as confident personalities in today's competitive job market.
Several MoUs between Ganesh College of Engineering and organizations like LIVE WIRE, MEGATRONICS, IMAGECON India (P) LTD, JCI, V3 TECH , ATHEENAPANDIAN (P) LTD, WINGS TECHNOCRATS AND EG TECHNOLOGIES to provide staff and students with training on recent techniques . The students undergo many hospitals for Internships training.
